5 months on and our sweet dog is still very deliberately placing toys in a pile where our other dog used to sleep on the sofa, and crying out when she sees dogs that look like him 
she's had so much extra love and attention, regular play time with neighbour dog, and weekly social walks with a pack of 20 other dogs, but is obviously still not ok... grief is a beast.
Aww... dogs have very individual ways to express grief, too.

You are undoubtedly giving her the best days you can and those social walks sound brilliant.
