Not bad numerically last night, but diversity was poor. Lots of Hearts & Darts and Flame Shoulders. First sighting in 2024 of:

1) Beautiful Hook-tip
2) Small Magpie

Overhead shot of a flat triangular moth with a rounded top corner, from which a small orange head pokes out, and the wings are hooked at the two bottom corners. The bottom edge from left to right corner is wavy, more pronounced concave wave at each end giving the appearance of hooked corners. The moth is largely light grey with miniscule black peppering. Two very thin bands traverse the wings at one-third and two-thirds down. They have a reddish-brown top and bottom edge with a thin layer of creamy yellow between. Both bands hook sharply up as they reach the wing edges. Between each band are two solid cream circles on each wing, with each circle containing a black dot. Beneath the lower thin band and in each hook-tipped wing corner, the wings darken to deep chocolate brown
Overhead shop of narrow triangular moth. It has a golden yellow nape and pin-head with two black pin-head eyes and two thin, wiry, unfeathered antennae. It's wings are white with grey-black symmetrical splodges, more dalmatian dog than magpie bird though. The bottom wing edge has a continuous row of grey-black ovals and squares traversing both wings, corner to corner. Its abdomen is visible between the wings and is black with thin yellow bands across.
