The world has decided to be a net-zero emitter as soon as possible (about 2050 or 2060)

If the world would decide to remove historical CO2 with the goal of reaching 300 ppm again, how long would it take?

@JohanEmpa to be honest any 2050 targets are ridiculously far and their use is more signaling and haggling tools to keep politicians busy and sounding as making progress than any real commitment.

I expect that if people seriously commit resources at the dramatic scale that is today possible by 2030 we will have so much dramatic progress (new approaches, major efficiency jumps but also behavioral change etc) that any further projections would have to be rebased...
