It's great that Irish fillums did well at the #BAFTAs but I strongly disagree with awards for any creative field. They are generally confused as a guarantee of quality, a pinnacle of what's possible. But in the arts what is beloved is subjective. Really they are marketing; you see award winning studio, award nominated producer, winner of 7 awards etc on all promo materials.
Go see, do and listen to the things you love, not what some judges decided is the current thing
