In despair because my son decided to turn on the AC today is the day we had to turn it on because today is the first 100° day unfortunately every single year it gets earlier and earlier we have to turn on the AC. I was really happy that we did good just opening the windows and having the fans but today is just horrible and we realize that even though last year it was April 15 to turn on the AC now it is April 10 and that is stretching it.#Phoenix #Arizona #AC

I’m also having a rough time from the medication infusion yesterday. I was told a side effect could be much more joint pain. Oh my yes. So I can’t stand at present but does make it to my cardiologist at 8:15. Unfortunately I scalded my left hand from boiling percolator coffee today. I was just going to pour the extra in the thermos for tomorrow. Over 1st degree but only partly to second degree burn. Some days are just not great!

45 years ago today, (Week Ending) March 29, 1980, Bette Midler debuted on the Billboard AC chart at #47 with "The Rose". She went on to spend five weeks at #1. Also, leaped up ten notches to #76 on the Hot 100 and eventually peaked at #3 for three weeks there.

I’ve collected many 45RPM singles over many years, but this is one from my mom's collection that I inherited.

News / Anniversaries: Animal Crossing New Horizons turns 5

I forgot to post this despite literally knowing that this was coming...

Yesterday, Animal Crossing: New Horizons turned 5 years old (that's crazy to believe). It released globally on March 20th 2020, after originally being scheduled to launch in 2019 (from my memory anyways).

It's honestly hard to process that it's been 5 years already. It doesn't feel that long ago when I was watching people playing the game early through various means and rushing to play the game as soon as it came through my door (I pre-ordered it physically and got a nice Nook keychain which I've never used lol).

Do you all have any memories of launch day to share? Also, are you all still regularly playing it now?

A quick aside: I was gifted a small portable #AC unit and as of last year I am now able to make a cool-ish 'bubble' in my living room.

In the worst heat I have to abandon the bedroom (at over 30°C overnight) but can manage some sleep in a chair near the AC.

Not ideal but does prevent literal #death, yay! 💀
