#30DaysOfBiking Day 5:
The rain this morning ended just in time for me to take my #BromptonBicycle out to ride the North Shore Channel Trail, and I had enough time to ride the entire length for the first time. I found that the South end is only 1.2 miles from where the grandkids live. The section through #Skokie has a lengthy sculpture park. And I spotted where the channel flows into the North Branch of the #Chicago River to increase its flow for sanitary purposes.

Not sure what to think about the impact of current US politics on the cycling industry. With looming breakdown of democracy in large nations and tanking world economy, the impact on our favourite spare time activity should be least of our worries. But it still is one of the areas where one notices that politics matters. And one might feel especially connected to people working in the bicycle industry.

Bicycling · Bike Prices Will Soar Due to New Tariffs—Our Expert Shares 5 Tips to Help You SaveBy Tara Seplavy

Travelling by train from Stockholm to Berlin. Right now: Lunch and sightseeing in one of the bicycle capitals of the world, Copenhagen. As usual, I had to get a photo at Nyhavn. Weather is sunny and cold. But I am hoping to experience warmer temperatures in the coming days on my Easter Tour 2025 towards Austria.

"Wann sind wir beim Eisladen?"

Die Radtour mit den Kids durch das Moor zum Eisladen war sonnig und spaßig. Auf die Frage was denn an der Radtour am besten war, fiel bei den Kids natürlich mehrmals der Begriff "Eis".
Zu meiner Verwunderung und Freude fiel allerdings auch 2x der Begriff "Schotter & Hubbel". Wir sind also auf einem gutem Weg :o)

I was thinking that there was "something" different on today's ride, and then I realised that a lot of the two-hoop obstacles on the shared path have either been reduced to one hoop, or been removed totally.

Just when I felt I'd mastered the art of the riding wiggle to get through them without slowing or dismounting.

I wonder if this is related to the increasing number of electric bikes and scooters zipping around on these paths?

Trying to find reviews of the Haluzak Horizon (because I'm consigning two this weekend). It's not just Google's search that sucks.

I had to follow a lot of breadcrumbs to find what I was looking for.

One bummer of doing this is I REALLY don't want to part with my custom Haluzak Horizon, dammit. I'll be moving someplace I can't pick one up cheaply or at all if I become able to ride one again.
