@FotoVorschlag: #FotoVorschlag "Dinge, die mit C beginnen", hier #Cargobikes

"relatively inexpensive thing — #eBikes/ #cargoBikes that cost as much as a car repair ... opened up a world of possibilities, ... got to know my neighbors. Became healthier. Polluted less. Didn’t waste time in traffic or parking. My kids loved going on errands. Shopped more locally. Saved more money. Had more fun. ...

Just switching to a bike did all this. Because all of our problems are related."

"Note the rescue motorcycle at the right edge of the garage at the Arakawa Fire Department, .... There were even [#cargoBikes] bicycles parked behind it. These can reach medical situations quickly even in pedestrian zones, or after earthquakes when roads may not be clear."

Can we combine a 3d printer with a sewing/weaving machine and print carbon or fiberglass mesh structures? Maybe the fibers in plastic rather than resin or baked epoxy, you could print and mix support material with finished plastic and weaving fibers. I'm trying to come up with something stiff and light for #solar roof of #cargoBikes.

Acquired this new friend to replace bus transport for tasks like shopping and food pickup! I will never drive a car so this is like the teenager's-first-car equivalent for me (sure I'm 41, goblins age differently) :p

Cycling infrastructure is not the /best/ around here, but we do at least have a fairly quiet town, plus separated bike path along the busy road to our local shopping centre. I have high hopes for it in regular usage!
