The minor surgery & recovery from the minor surgery have given me a strong reminder of just how high my pain tolerance actually is (alongside a reminder of just how few people either believe me about my chronic pain, or forget about it).

Everybody telling me before, during, and since the surgery that I'll have a lot of pain for weeks, that I'll need to take paracetamol to help with it, etc.

I won't deny that my toes hurt. But compared to everything else my body is constantly going through? No, I don't need to take paracetamol for them.

Then reminding people that the pain in my toes literally isn't registering for me when compared to everything else (unless I focus on whatever my toes are feeling), it's usually met with "Oh yeah" or "Really?"

It's not worth it to reoptimize Medications A or C until I know whether or not it's worth it to continue taking Medication B. So now resuming Medications C and D to deal with shortfall in Medication A's efficacy, which has been caused by starting Medication B.

And how very grateful I am that at this moment in my history I have stable access to Medications A-D+. Has not always been the case.

Tho grateful...the meds tinkering is still exhausting.

It bites being an overachiever!

I was preparing the house all day yesterday, consolidating furniture into as few spaces as possible for the movers for my soon-to-be-ex for today. And then lots and lots of sweeping. Before that, I was actively moving lots of stuff from the car to his new apartment, on two consecutive days.

I managed to invoke what I think is a combo fibromyalgia flare-up and ME/CFS crash all in one.

I don't regret it, but one's body sure has a way of reasserting itself! 😁

This one's for my people in the #ChronicPain and #ChronicIlness worlds...I'm now up to 17 pills a day, and I've having trouble managing them (they've ended up all over the floor a few times). How many pills you all on? Should I be asking for fewer?? Anyone got any cool ideas on homemade blister pack day-to-day thingies?

ENG: Observational study on medical #cannabis use for 300 people over 50 proves medical #weed effectiveness. Patients favor high CBD low THC oral dosing ( balanced 1:1), to reduce arthritic/chronic pain and help sleep without having to chain smoke/vape. If CBD dominantes there is almost no psychotropic effect.
