Tonight's Family Movie Night film was Ghostbusters: Afterlife (2021) a nostalgic continuation of the Ghostbusters timeline that included Ghostbusters (1984) and Ghostbusters II (1989) -- and thankfully discards the reboot film Ghostbusters (2016).

As a fan of the 1980s films, there was enough nostalgia and references to the original movies to keep me happy. The movie is also really funny in its own way and that made it so entertaining. Mckenna Grace carries the movie perfectly with her super dry humor. The focus on the characters and their relationships was the emotional backbone of the film. The effects in the movie were great in that they both looked old, yet they felt modern. And the cinematography of the film by Eric Steelberg is stunningly gorgeous.

Vista Ghostbusters Afterlife:
La verdad me ha gustado bastante, creo que es la continuación que esperábamos de la franquicia.
Decir que me ha faltado un poco de humor, aunque bueno entiendo que no hayan querido arriesgarse a meterlo viendo lo de la película de las caza fantasmas y hayan preferido meter un poco de malos chistes con la prota, si la prota.
Y es que para mí la prota es la niña ya que es quien lleva el peso de la trama y demás, por mucho que en los créditos hayan puesto de Starring a la madre, y es que la madre tampoco hace mucho, bueno ni el hermano que solo va tras la falda de la otra chica.
Mención especial al profesor me ha encantado lo fanboy que era.
