Yesterday, I was one of many photographers at the finish line of the #GreatNorthRun.
Kudos to every participant - yesterday’s weather made your effort even more impressive.
With over 60k runners, it’s the most challenging and rewarding event in my #SportsPhotography calendar.
I snapped just over 30k pics in 5 hours. With 40+ photographers at the finish line and many more on course, there are plenty of images to process and upload.
I hope the results will be worth your wait!

#Today I got my number in the post.
It's all too real, TOO REAL!!!!!
As 2023 enters its last few days, I thought I'd post a few photographic memories from the last year.
So, first up and pleased to have caught the legendary Sir Mo Farah making his way down to the coast at South Shields for the final time during this year's Great North Run.
Thankfully, I was back home and dry before the torrential downpour that drenched the end of this year's event.

I posted a shot earlier of the great Sir Mo Farrah taking part in today's Great North Run in North East England. Here's a salute to those who not only do the run, but dress up too (they must be mad!).
The run started in spectacular warm sunshine, but ended in an a spectacular thunderstorm.
Nearly missed Sir Mo at today's Great North Run in Tyne & Wear, not because he's fast, but because the motorcycle outrider got between him and me.
It was very nearly a back-of-the-head shot!
Well done to all those who took part.
Had the good fortune of getting to see Mo Farah run his final race today, and honestly I got slightly emotional 
Weirdly found my Great North Run t-shirt from 1992 (first time I did it, I think?), on the day of the great north run. So I'll be wearing this, glad I'm not out in that heat! Good luck everyone! #greatnorthrun

Tomorrow is the Great North Run, and Caroline Quibell will be tackling it with her new hip in memory of her late husband. She and her eldest son are raising money for My Name's Doddie Foundation which funds research into MND/ALS.

I jumped on a couple of buses and ended up in Whitley Bay, where it's only 26C! Lovely lunch at Trenchers in the old Spanish City building. It was amusements/rides when I was a kid. Pity the #GreatNorthRun runners! May have bought more yarn...
