A report from the Health Foundation suggest the NHS does not need new technologies, it needs to use the ones it has already more effectively.
Most obviously the Electronic Patient Records system is not being used to its full potential; partly due to a lack of investment in training in the system.
So rather than more shiny expensive tech, money should be spent on staff training & support for Hospital Trusts to integrate the system(s) into their everyday work.
