Anyone here have experience with car-free travel to southern #Ontario provincial/national #parks from #Toronto?

Other than the ParkBus to Algonquin, I haven't been able to find anything (and I don't have any experience with ParkBus as yet).

Took my buddy over to Inspiration Point Park yesterday. We'd never been before. It was small, but nice and tranquil with great views of the mountains and enough trees to forget you're still in the city of Denver.

Lots of folks out and about in the park today, including a trickle of sign-lugging folks taking the bike path homeward from the local Hands Off rally site about a half-mile away. Alas, the rally itself would have been way beyond the CrankyBod's abilities, but I'm glad to at least witness the fringes while I get some nature therapy.

We had a wonderful time at the Huber Woods #Environmental Center in #Monmouth County, #NewJersey today. It is the former estate of the German #immigrant Huber family from the late 1890s-early 1900s who established a farm here and preserved the land. They donated the land and their home to the Monmouth County #Parks to be a free educational center on the #environment for the public. Their beautiful Alpine-inspired house is now the #Nature Center for the park.

Sights on the morning hike, two big honkers inspecting a furry muskrat, a large beaver heading through marsh grass toward the creek after foraging, and a pair of bald eagles. I can't say it enough, protect #PublicLands! Vote #Parks. #GetOutside #Hiking #Walking
