A project using drones to disperse tree seeds could "revolutionise" the expansion of rainforests in South West England.
The Woodland Trust says 75,000 seeds have been scattered on hills which would be inaccessible for human planting by hand.
The drones, which seeded 11 hectares of land around Bodmin in eight hours, scattered tree seeds native to rainforests, including pedunculate oak, alder, wild cherry, downy birch and hazel.
A lovely unnamed creek, meandering through a coastal temperate #rainforest in the Highlands area of #Wsanec territory. Very few old growth left in this forest; mostly 3rd growth & younger with a few 2nd growth trees mixed in. This is a great area to look for mushrooms.
If you are caught cutting down the Amazon Rainforest illegally, chances are you will get off without being required to pay for the environmental damage. According to a recent report, only 5% of offenders have paid court-ordered fines for deforestation in the Brazilian Amazon.

Such stupidity.
They're going to hold a summit about global warming, and about protecting places like the rain forest. And what do they do? The build a 4-lane highway for the summit through the rain forest. 
Some people just want to see the world, burn, I presume.

Edit: some answers point that COP is probably not the only reason for this highway project to go through. Regardless of that, I would say COP should use its power to block the highway ASAP, instead of (apparently) encouraging it.
