I've been exploring CMS-ish options to either hook into #Webstudio or @astro via API. I just discovered a very fast and portable one by the creator of presentator.io (which I love). It's called PocketBase. Check it out if you're looking for something like Airtable, but lean and #OpenSource: pocketbase.io/

Anyone have any ideas or advice for me? I'm looking to replace the US based platform as my main web design tool. I still love it, it's incredible. But I'm concerned at the country's antics and how at their Dear Leader's whim service to Europe could be cut off in a single day.
I love when I can see what is going on begins the ui (ie the code changes). I can code, just a visual ui is faster to work with.
Thoughts on other suggestions?

@hank I can recommend #WebStudio

I've used it for a few projects. It's open-source. If you don't want to pay for their hosting service, you can export the site and host it elsewhere. It even has its own CLI to enable you to do that.

The sites it makes are very fast to load, and as a long-time Webflow user I find the UI very stable, responsive, and pleasant to use. (Much better than Webflow!)

@chriswood Was searching for a easy to design tools and landed up on #webstudio site.

Out of curiosity searched mastodon for webstudio and landed on your profile. Happy and surprised.

Have you faced any issues with Webstudio? Would you recommend it for a backend developer to use webstudio for a hobby project?

My portfolio site got featured on Webstudio!

I'm just rounding off my latest project, designing a mobile app for a startup with a social mission here in Edinburgh. I'm accepting new projects this month - get in touch if you need a hand with anything!

Webstudio, the open-source competitor to Webflow, are offering a one-time fee for lifetime access to their upcoming pro features, unlimited websites, and generous monthly page view limits.

For half the yearly price of my Webflow hosting, I've now got lifetime hosting for my website on Webstudio.

It's an incredible offer, and building my new portfolio in it has been a joy so far.

WebstudioWebstudio Lifetime Deal - Holiday 2023The visual design studio that empowers everyday creators and designers with programming superpowers without writing any code

Very excited about the beta release of #WebStudio! It’s an open-source alternative to #Webflow, a visual UI builder for designers. One of the engineers working on it even used to work at Webflow!

They claim that it’s less resource-heavy, sites run faster, and there’s no vendor lock-in.

As soon as they release custom code components I’ll be trying it out!
