My review of THEATER OF THOUGHT, Werner Herzog's new documentary on the latest advances in neuroscience and computer/brain interfaces.

I hated it. I mean, it was really a horribly-made documentary that should not have been made. I love Herzog and will see everything he makes, but my god man, know your limitations.

This is not one of his best. It's just plain not. I have never cringed so much while sitting in a film, desperately hoping the end was coming soon and I could get out of there. I love that Herzog is curious. I love that he is always searching, always trying to find out new things, learn about new fields. But my god man, do some research. Put a structure together. @ambivalena over the decades I watched all his movies and series, and so often did he capture those strange moments in life, where something entirely random and unexpected happens in the middle of otherwise entirely boring day-to-day, sometimes so strange that if you told someone they wouldn't believe you... he was good like that, honing in to the human condition and embedding it into his #wernerHerzog-like epic life stories, juxtaposing or overemphasising... and the original #Dune was also a special piece I loved :D
