Amsterdam-Noord has been building up incredibly quickly the past decade. It is a very strange feeling to see places torn down and levelled, hundreds of trees disappear overnight and sunlight becoming impossible to find in the wells between the newly built towers. I cannot imagine how much much worse this must feel for the people who have been living here even longer.

“ACCEPTTHIS” is a well known street artist in the scene. This stencil head of ‘good old Kurt Cobain’ is glued to a wall at the NDSM-Wharf. 🎸🤘

The “NDSM” as a creative hub (turning into another suburb fast) still has some of its dark glamour, and is known for its impressive street art collection. The area draws artists from around the world, adding to its dynamic and evolving atmosphere. 🖼️ 🎨 🧑🏼‍🎨

Outside painting weather is back, baby! It's unusually dry this year, but later this week it's warm enough again to stay outside.

I finished this #watercolor last year - starting in a garden in our village. I wanted to catch the effect of the warm sunlight seeping through the roof onto the grape vines.
