International Polar Year (Earth sciences 🌍)

The International Polar Years are collaborative, international efforts with intensive research focus on the polar regions. While visiting the UCSB Geography dept website today, I came across the very sad news that Jeff Dozier is no longer with us. He was an amazing professor, and was able to describe really complex concepts. He also had a great sense of humor.

Jeff taught me why the sky is blue, mathmatically.
