Ich habe ein Dokument in ein PDF gescannt (mit einem HP Multifunktionsgerät). Wenn ich das #PDF auf dem #Mac mit #Foxit Reader öffne, kann ich den Text nicht markieren. Öffne ich es mit der #macOS Vorschau, kann ich text markieren (die macht scheinbar OCR im Hintergrund).

Frage: kann ich die Vorschau-App irgendwie dazu bewegen, den erkannten Text im PDF zu speichern, so dass ich den auch in anderen PDF-Readern nutzen kann?

A specially crafted Javascript code inside a malicious PDF document can trigger this vulnerability, which can lead to memory corruption and result in arbitrary code execution. An attacker needs to trick the user into opening the malicious file to trigger this vulnerability. Exploitation is also possible if a user visits a specially crafted, malicious site if the browser plugin extension is enabled.

I switched around a year ago from #Adobe #Acrobat to #Foxit Pro as my #PDF editor. One-time pricing, waaaaay less bloat, quicker.

I assumed this would be a quick fix so waited it out for seven months. After more complaining, customer service provided the link to reinstall version 12. I'm happy. Version 12 works perfectly and predates the new Foxit moves to add "AI" features.

Usé de nuevo #Xodo en #Android para firmar y rellenar documentos #pdf y ahora trae una limitación de uso de una herramienta cada 24 horas.
Fallo mío en primer lugar al no haber bloqueado actualizaciones a Xodo.

No me gusta tener que recomendar una app como #Foxit (que en Windows además sus devs tienen la cara dura de poner bundleware) pero al parecer sí dispone de licencia permanente de un solo pago y funciona sin problemas aunque se le bloqueen permisos y servicios innecesarios.

Visores #PDF. El rey de lo ligero es #SumatraPDF, 7 mb en comparación con los 500 megas que llega a ocupar no-sabemos-bien-en-que #Adobe reader. Mantiene su adorable presentación cutre aunque ya cuenta con una interfaz modernilla. Permite ver y crear anotaciones PERO NO rellenar formularios o firmar PDFs

Si necesito lo de los formularios o firmas, en el siguiente escalón instalo el clásico #Foxit reader. Cuidado con las guarrerías preseleccionadas al instalar.

Por cierto, no hace falta que imprimas, firmes y escanees los PDF, se puede hacer fácil, barato, rápido y ecológico con un visor que lo permita como Adobe reader o Foxit.
