But no! The Greater Gliders are *not* closely related to sugar gliders and evolved gliding independently. Also featured is a bird wise enough to detoxify cane toads. But 95 percent of the state forests under consideration are still open to logging by the state-owned logging company. “Forestry Corp is going gangbusters logging some of the best koala habitat because they know they are going to be shut out."</p><p>"Thousands of koalas died in devastating bushfires five years ago, and many populations were already in decline after a steady drumbeat of logging, housing developments, dog attacks, car strikes and other threats. StephenM<p>Please take a brief break from your worries about US politics & climate change and take a moment to look at this beautiful girl. I know she's female because I can see a joey poking his head out of the pouch. When she crouches over to feed on grass the joey does the same. Very hard to get a photo, joey kept ducking back into the pouch if you got too close. <br>But then the big guy turned up to see who was bothering his family. That's his tail which kind of makes it look like he is sitting on a post.
