LANSING, Mich. - The Michigan Department of Health and Human Services (MDHHS) and Mid-Michigan District Health Department (MMDHD) have confirmed a measles outbreak, which is defined as three or more related cases of measles, in Montcalm County. I was born in Lansing, Michigan in 1953. My family moved away from Michigan when I was only a few months old so I don't have any memories. Recently, I needed to obtain a 2nd certified copy of my birth certificate.

I would like to recognize the people at the Eaton County clerk's office and the Ingham County clerk's office for helping me. Each person I've spoken to by phone and email has been pleasant and helpful.

They won't see this post, but I want to thank them anyway.
