For three years I’ve lived in a nearly fully shaded apartment and for three years I’ve been fighting it.

Yes, I’ve grown shade plants but what if I REALLY try to thrive in this atmosphere?

Why not ask my upstairs neighbor, who runs a tree service, for some hardwood chips, buy a winecap mushroom starter kit, and try my hand at mushrooms?

I don’t *have* to get that carried away, I can do it in a five gallon pail, but why not just go for it?

There’s fresh air and sunshine on the patio but let’s face it, not a whole lot with it being built into the side of the hill.
