Tara Moses, a citizen of the Seminole Nation with Muscogee (Creek) heritage, didn’t expect to get into theater growing up. As a child, she mostly saw theater as an escape from being the only Indigenous kid she knew at school in Tulsa. She had no idea that her after school activities at the Tulsa Spotlight Theatre would lead to a career, let alone lead her to direct a play at the historic Springer Opera House.

Peggy’s ready to take our Minnesota values to D.C. — to fight to rebuild the middle class, protect our rights, and hold the extremist billionaires trying to run off with our country accountable. If elected, she’ll be the first Native American woman to ever serve in the U.S. Senate. Will you join us in this Minnesotan-powered campaign?

Arriving from the #TrailOfTears, the Mvskoke chose an oak tree on top of a hill that overlooked the Arkansas River as the site of their council ground. They lit a new ceremonial fire, using coals they had carried on their journey.

“Songs of the Council Oak” came from the recordings of bioelectrical outputs from the Council Oak tree.

The binary code is then inputted into Buchla #Synthesizers to create the unique sound.

Topics such as agriculture, hunting and fishing, gathering, food sovereignty and more specific topics important to the Mvskoke people.

Do not worry, the program will also be on audio streaming platforms such as Apple Music, IHeart Radio and Spotify.
