Trying to get #postmarketOS up and running on my old Samsung phones now, using lk2nd, but the T variants weren't supported. Added and submitted an lk2nd merge request!
Unfortunately, there may be a regression preventing file system boot. The version shipped by pmOS works on my Nexus 5 but I flashed this new build and it too won't boot from the rootfs now.

Vermutlich ist die App nicht mal #freieSoftware und läuft nicht auf alternativen Betriebssystemen wie #Mobian oder #PostmarketOS.
Da zahlt man 362.80 €/a, aber kann den Fahrschein nicht nutzen, wenn man kein Google Android oder Apple iOS haben will? Krass.
Was für eine schnieke Idee, ein OS was man aufspielen kann wenn die ganzen Tornado kapitalistischen OS'e deine Hardware leblos zurück lassen: #PostMarketOS

I was excited to hear the features, then disappointed to hear it's backed by proprietary libraries from #Gboard, but then excited again to learn this demonstrates the ability to run stuff from #LineageOS and its forks/ancestors without having to run a full-blown emulator! And not a normal app but a integrated subsystem no less 
If #postmarketOS were human, this would be a true #cyborg (in a good way) 
Nexus 5 (lg-hammerhead) joins the group again after reflashing #postmarketOS on it. I set all these up to make sure #TouchpadEmulator autostart works with screen rotation on all of them. I released a new version with minor changes to get this working and updated my Alpine merge request.
Das PinePhone Pro ist ein reines Spielzeug, aber die entwickelte Software laeuft! Das Smartphone ist Meilenweit von einer taeglichen Benutzung entfernt, aber wenn die richtige Hardware und dazu die Treiber vohanden waeren, dann koennte das eine Alternative werden. Deshalb bin ich sehr erfreut und ueberrascht wie gut die Entwicklung voran schreitet. *weiter so* ich freu mich drauf.

I need to reimage my Nexus 5 apparently, it didn't make the photo because it's stuck at lk2nd. Also my Galaxy S5 and Note 3 I should revisit.
@tobifant die Geräte von @shiftphones sind sehr offen gestaltet. gibt einge custom roms... auch #PostmarketOS beispielsweise

Secondo voi visto l'andazzo delle ROM alternative causa #bigG ci sarà "un'impennata" nel settore mobile per gli OS open #linux come #plasmamobile #ubports #postmarketos #gnomemobile ecc? Porterà qualche dev in piú che svilupperà app specifiche? Magari un impennata cosi grande da portare grandi realtà a sviluppare app come io

I submitted a merge request to #AlpineLinux aports to get #TouchpadEmulator added. This program allows touchscreen devices to control a mouse cursor for easier use with desktop-oriented user interfaces. Merge request here:

Testers on #postmarketOS welcome, you can test with:
sudo mrtest add -a 82061
also add yourself to input group to avoid the password prompt. You can also set it to autostart with LaunchTouchpadEmulator.sh --autostart
Big problem I see coming to #linuxmobile is overlapping gestures of the shell and the app.
On IOS and Android the top and bottom of the screen are always used for the mobile interface, so apps can make use of the sides.
How do we work around the issue of apps not being able to rely on side gestures on linux mobile?
I've seen apps with side swipe gestures also use a button at the top left corner which helps.
Should apps design with side gestures by default?
Eh bien pas que ! L'important dans Logiciel libre, c'est "libre", et le projet Android tel que défini par Google n'est pas de défendre la liberté des utilisateurs. Entre les drivers non-libres et les services non-libres, on ne peut pas réduire Android à Linux et il est très difficile de considérer Android comme un projet libre au même titre que Linux. Comme ce n'est pas simple de produire des téléphones fonctionnant avec un "vrai" Linux, certains proposent de "dégoogliser" Android (/e/OS), d'autres de réduire la dépendance à Android au minimum (UbuntuTouch via Halium)
