I like the sedum (I think it is Sedum sarmentosum, stringy stonecrop) that grows around a big oak tree by our house. It's vibrant after some recent rain.
Colors of Winter Sedum by Debra Martz Angelina Sedum that I grow in my backyard. In the spring and summer, it is a brilliant chartreuse-yellow and as the weather cools and gets into winter, the foliage turns orange

I finally got a chance to go to the Koishikawa Botanical Garden in Tokyo
A lot of the outdoor stuff wasn’t that nice because it’s winter, but the greenhouses had some very nice specimens.
Here are some sedums!
A container into which I chucked some random stuff. It’s been taken over by this small-leafed crassula that one might mistake for a sedum.
Sedum, or stonecrops, are a diverse genus of leaf succulents with 400-500 species. Found mainly in the Northern Hemisphere, they range from creeping herbs to shrubs. Known for their water-storing leaves and five-petaled flowers, these plants thrive in various climates. Some former Sedum species now belong to Hylotelephium and Rhodiola. #Plants #Succulents #Stonecrops #Sedum #Nature #Photography #flowers #FlowerPhotography #photo
It is told that greens are good for the health, and looking at green plants sure is good for mine
Sedum rupestre about to flower. No idea there was so much to this plant until I propagated in a volunteer in a lily pot, summer 2022. #sedum #greenroof #succulents
