@axbom I too have been doing some similar evaluating of alternatives. I would recommend adding:
- #Zulip (Slack, #Mattermost competitor) More info: https://c.im/@sbb/114034480079879818
- #Conversations/ #Gajim/ #Prosody (is similarly E2E encrypted, but additionally federated, unlike Signal), this is my #XMPP "stack" at present (more info: https://c.im/@sbb/114032786446300932 )
- #Deltachat (is federated, unlike #Signal) More info: https://c.im/@sbb/114043962394278098
- #flarum , a forum similar to Discourse, but will run on a #RaspberryPi, unlike Discourse
- #calibre-web for your ebook collection
- #shiori, for private cloud bookmarks
#shiori : un gestionnaire de signets
https://fredix.xyz/2024/12/shiori/
je test #shiori un gestionnaire de bookmark en Go.
Attention l'extension pour firefox sur le market n'est plus à jour https://addons.mozilla.org/fr/firefox/addon/shiori_ext/
Il faut installer directement le fichier XPI du projet github

After being unsatisfied with Nextcloud Bookmarks, I'm giving a competing project a try on my #RaspberryPi 5: Shiori (the Japanese word for "Bookmark").
So far, it was arguably worth it: shiori saves bookmarks reliably, unlike #Nextcloud bookmarks, which is eternally and embarrassingly losing the session, and has a hard time re-establishing it - even within a LAN!
#Shiori has some annoyances as well: the #Firefox extension doesn't work in #Librewolf, the browser I use. And the Shiori Android app crashes easily in several embarrassing ways. I've learned to always use the "share" icon, to open a saved bookmark in a mobile browser.
For those coming from #Omnivore, here is another alternative:
Shiori (https://github.com/go-shiori/shiori)
It's a very simple db and web interface which has basic features but not any complicated ones nor 'AI' features. It also has a CLI and a third-party mobile app:

I have used this just because I failed to get Omnivore or Wallabag to work when I began self-hosting earlier this year. I do want to try Wallabag again though.
Alternativen zu #Omnivore (wird bei Bedarf editiert):
- Shiori (https://github.com/go-shiori/shiori) & Shiori-App (https://github.com/DesarrolloAntonio/Shiori-Android-Client), #selfhosted
- Wallabag (https://wallabag.org/ & https://github.com/wallabag/wallabag), #selfhosted or #paid
- Otter (https://github.com/mrmartineau/Otter), #selfhosted
- Readeck (https://readeck.org/), #selfhosted via @alain0
Shiori Bookmark app did a good job when accessed directly. But only white screen displayed if served via nginx reverse proxy. Did I misconfigure my nginx?
