After the rock show we saw a sign for a county nature preserve and decided to go take a look, which is where i got my earlier silent Sunday photo and the little red flower before that.

Those woods were *really* thick. It was a little soggy, there were warning signs to be on the look put for coral snakes and copperheads and I wasn't exactly dressed for the mosquitoes that were chewing on my legs. Despite that it was really neat traipsing around in the woods.

Here are a few interesting pics.

Pic 1: It made me nervous that there could be wild hogs there. They are no joke.
Pic 2: I think these are Youpon Holly trees that have quite tall and created a tunnel of sorts over the trail.

A Sweet Gentleman

My easiest action of resistance: me, a trans enby guy, very obviously queer, wearing my pronouns/LGBTQ flag buttons doing tours for schools at my local art museum.

It might not be much but I do believe being openly who I am in front of young people, unafraid and proud, is one way to show them it's ok to be whoever you are and that they're not alone. :intersexprogresspride:

Got a lift home from trans gym and had a nice chat with my pal: ignore the EHRC guidance if you're feeling wobbly, how to manage a hyperfixation on All This, the importance of trans joy, and spite is a perfectly valid motivator.

They had two bits of #TransJoy to share: someone they know came out this week as gender diverse, and when they were getting a haircut an old lady was getting her hair dyed rainbow colors in solidarity with her grandson who has his date for top surgery.

I will gladly admit: I have never felt a belonging as strong and lovely as to the trans community. When I finally admitted to myself that I an a trans person, it was like a gazillion-metric-ton weight lifted from my chest, but when I "joined"* the trans community, it was like "finally coming home".

Yes, #LoveOfMyLife is that part of the home because she also belongs to that community- not because she is a trans person (she is not, she is cis), she is part of the trans community for being such an amazing ally/supporter/partner.
