This was part of the international research project investigating wildfires called FIRECULT. For the project, I created charcoal and made new drawings, made work with fire, and created two new video artworks.

Fires in Scotland and Ireland in April - not good. The land should still be wet enough to be able to smother the heat and slow things down. It’s not. Add in the criminal insanity of those who start fires and we have a terrifying situation ahead for the summer. My mother’s house is in the woods, in the Highlands. I can only hope.
