It's the quiet week before Christmas and it's a chance to catch up on research in detail for TransFIRe and the HEY-LEP - the subject of my PhD *coughs* years ago. First of all, some great research done, especially to better understand context dependency. Some reflections on the literature:

Thankfully the myth of geographic proximity seems to be wearing off, now that empirical research has grown. Still not convinced? Check out this article reporting on 1000s of via NISP UK showing that synergies exist over all distances. doi.org/10.1016/j.resconrec.20

The subject area could benefit from better research standards. Dozens of purely bibliometric reviews have been published. How many do you need, per year or indeed ever? Stop this nonsense, stop wasting time and editors - at Elsevier (especially Journal of Cleaner Production) and MDPI - reject such repetitive studies!

There's also a minor myth that's made its entry. isn't new (it's centuries old) and Renner 1947 often gets cited in that light but, incorrectly, said to not mention the exact term. He did and discussed types of symbioses in detail. Stay critical all 🧐
