This Monday was particularly Monday-ish, so choosing to transport myself instead to Eigg and the beautiful weirdness of An Sgùrr, viewed here end on.

TIL 'inselberg': an isolated rock, rising abruptly out of the surrounding landscape. A loan-word from German - an 'island mountain'.

The weird hump-shape of An Sgùrr seen end-on - a large lump of rock rises out of the hillside which is a mix of olive greens and burnt orange. A largely blue sky, with a swathe of white cloud.
