@gcluley Its only Turing Complete with 9 images.

@gcluley @sigi714 unless you’re playing by noughts and crosses rules…

@gcluley ironically, BC played Alan Turing…

@JFRitte @gcluley Not ironically.That's precisely why whoever made this picture put him there.

@gcluley
*rushing in panting* “Am I too late to tell you something you clearly already know?”

@gcluley I would have had been entirely stuck here not knowing whether to select the one of Benedict Cumberbatch playing Alan Turing or not 🤣

@gcluley rats, forgot to add alt text... Press photo of Derek Jacobi as Alan Turing in Breaking The Code.

@deltaandthebannermen

I never read that one.

To my eternal shame I took my huge collection of books to a charity shop in about 2009, thinking I would never read them and that someone else should get some pleasure from them. Aside from some New Adventures, there was an almost complete collection of Targets from my childhood... that I thought I'd never reread.

Within a couple of years I'd had a son. I'm still kicking myself...

@gcluley Oh no. I don't think I could ever part with my Doctor Who collection. I still have every VHS in the loft despite the fact they've been superseded by the DVDs and now I'm even superseding them with the blurays!

@gcluley Hey Gram, stop giving the bots ideas :sadglasses:

@gcluley no. 4 is also Turing.
BTW, who is no. 8?

@gcluley
instructions unclear, encrypts homosexual feelings

:)
I joke
well played sir, well played

@gcluley Blade Runner Voight-Kampff test.

@gcluley il macchinario era grande come un'armadio, testato da scienziati,poi Alan Turing lo ha perfezionato, ma serviva per tradurre, crittografare, tipo la papera sta' arrivando,🤗 , oppure Totoro, è col paracadute

@gcluley Clever! Could use some more Derek Jacobi, though. Cumberbatch always struck me as an odd choice for the role.

Well played, @gcluley. I love the number of levels that works on… 😆

I’m sure there’s probably a joke about cumberbatch image processing in there somewhere, too…

@gcluley it's little hard for me.I don't know Trnring,but I know Benedict Cumberbatch:blobbounce: :blobbounce: :blobbounce: :blobbounce:

@gcluley top left and whole middle row are Turing too, are they not?

@gcluley #Turing, Rock Hudson, and some skugs. See my novel, Turing and Burroughs.

@gcluley Awesome !
😅 😂
Just a minute before I was reading about Irving J Good, a colleague of Turing, and than I saw your toot...

@gcluley
Actually an easy one for pattern recognition with a database of all Allan Turing photos.

@gcluley Looks to me like it could also function as a Cumbercaptcha.

@gcluley I miss dr. Bunsen Honeydew, from MuppetLabs. Where the future is being made today!

@gcluley Basil Rathbone, What's he doing in there?

@gcluley This is BS! One, four, five and six is the best Turing actor in the world. And eight is way out of line, since one, four, five and six is also a way better Sherlock Holmes actor!

@gcluley Nice. The irony here is ramped up by the fact that this is a captcha that a bot could solve quite easily.

@rose @gcluley That's not so easy, because in (x=0,y=1) cumberbatch played Alan turing in the film. I would think that the AI e.g. the bot would also select this image maybe?

or the AI would have to be designed precisely for this Captcaha only for facial recognition, i.e. without consulting other sources that could lead to a "mismatch". An AI doesn't have the idea of reality or film, I think.

@leobm @gcluley I was thinking about simple facial recognition AI like facebook uses. It presumably has one model for each unique person.

@gcluley ...and when you select an image, another appears, so you're never sure when it's going to halt. 😀

@gcluley it's just occurred to me that Russell Tovey would be ideal to cast as Turing.

Well, Benedict Cumberbatch did play Alan Turing.
