This whole has been a wildly emotional ride in the best possible sense. Despite the ’ loss to the , I can’t find it in myself to be glum whatsoever because I’m just so excited for what’s next for women’s football/soccer on the global stage, and mainstream recognition of these athletes’ excellence is only just beginning. Onwards and upwards.
