While I’m making stock of all my products, I’m also slowly but surely working on my little bug magnets! I’m very happy with the designs, I think they work really well even though I still have a few issues to fix in the cutting files.

The above moth is the grown version of what the big hairy brown caterpillars on our sawtooth oak trees become! We saw a few more moths out back during the same week.

They're multiplying! At first we thought it was one, then two. Now it's at least four and maybe more. I'm talking 'elephant hawk moth caterpillars' which seem to have proliferated in the garden this year. They are large (about 3 inches long) and you can see from the solo photo here a little bit of how they get their name. They're feeding on willow herb. The moths that emerge (won't be until next year) are a beautiful pink and yellow. #caterpillar #moths #Mothstodon

A cup moth caterpillar. These units look like someone made them up - still, you don't want this one down your t-shirt, you'll itch for days after the pain goes away....
I saw a gorgeous teeny moth in the garden earlier. A bit of googling suggests that it's a 'Beautiful Plume' moth. I just love the little happy face marking between its wings! #wildlife #moths #mothstodon
