TIL that Oxford and Bosphorus mean the same thing.

Reading #Mythos by #StephenFry. Recommended. Never too late to have a bit of classical education.

(OK, so Wikipedia says it is a "folk etymology", the origin of the name Bosp(h)orus is not necessarily βοῦς 'ox, cattle' + πόρος 'passage', thus 'cow crossing'. But still a fun factoid.)

Not "Please tell me it's okay to BUY the Harry Potter books/audiobooks."

There *IS* a difference. She didn't get my money. She got someone else's money she would've already gotten anyway. The other person got my money later on...
