@Beedazzled same here. My point is I suspect our nations have a more accepting attitude towards asylum seekers than does the government of our southern and eastern neighbour.

@HighlandLawyer Perhaps we here on the continent should loudly explain to the Britsh that "controls on immigration" is why the British retirees need to fill in paperwork to take a vacation to Paris, Brussels, or Berlin.
