This has just popped up on my timeline elsewhere. I don't know when it dates from, but as knife crime is still a massive issue here, it seemed worth posting.

Wow people don’t like facts do they? Poverty, domestic abuse, lack of education. These are fixable problems, if the resources are directed. But it’s so much easier to live in fear and fund fear based solutions: cops, prisons, denial of benefits, that incidentally help make other people rich.
@IcooIey The first stop on the "blame someone else for society's problems" is always racism.
@IcooIey @fkamiah17 there's as much knife crime and violence in mostly white and middle class areas of East Anglia as in London, with both offenders and victims often being older (even into middle age) - toxic masculinity is way more of a factor than race..
