After Genevieve, which I featured the other day, another car that gave its name to the film in which it starred - Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. This car is used for visitor rides at the National Motor Museum in Beaulieu in Hampshire. Apparently, it is a reconstruction, albeit one incorporating parts from one of several cars used in the original filming. Magnificent. My daughter has won the role of the Childcatcher in her school's production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang. We rewatched the film over the last couple of nights. I absolutely adore it. Every single performance is brilliant; the songs infections; the gags hilarious. I adore it more every time I watch it (except that awful song Truly sings when she realises she loves Dick Van Dyke - that always gets fast forwarded).
