Judging by how often I am opening Reason on my computer I guess I am a DawLess music producer now.
The ONESHOTLOFIJUNGLIST mixtape is finished. All 12 tracks were produced on the #SP404MK2, mastered in #Bitwig and then mixed in #Serato via a #NS4FX controller. I'm pretty happy how this turned out but I'm not sure how/where to release it. All input from you is welcome. Prelisten available if you want to spare 1 hour.
It always feels good to be jamming on something and have the ideas start flowing. The track I am working on started out as something completely different than where I think it will end up. It feels pretty ready to record the performance.
I hope @SrRochardBunson and @etherdiver like this remix of their track as much as I am right now.
Rehearsing a 4-track EP I recorded over the last 2 weeks. It's about 26mins in play time. Just found a title, too. If anyone wants an early prelisten of the tunes just hit me up, I'll DM you a link.
On a different note: have a great day.

It's sort of something special as it's the first proper track I've made on my #SP404MK2. So far it was all just loops. I'm happy with it for now, this machine definitely has some soul.
Fun day with the #SP404MK2. Might post some results later. Probably here.
#SP404MK2 update. Day 12 post unboxing. I have 13 loops of 64bars each, sort of mean #BassMusic bangers playing at 70/140bpm and ready for recording. Also I've learned most shortcuts relevant for live performance. Gosh, how I love this unit.
#SP404MK2 is loads of fun. I played around for 3hrs after unboxing and came out with 2 wonky loops of 4bars length. Also used my own samples. I don't really get the review opinions saying non-intuitive or complicated. It may require a bit of learning but doesn't have an impossibly steep learning curve.
I just submitted my track for consideration to the next #Bonkwave compilation. I don't normally like to leave things to the last minute, but with a sick kiddo at home it takes some creativity to make the time for working on creative projects.
In some ways it made the track what it is since I didn't have a ton of time to work on it and had to wait until later in the evening.
But, I did stick with the approach I was talking about before and opened an empty project on my SP404 mk2 and only used samples that were on the SD card.
Overall, it was fun and I think it is in a style that I would like to try out again. I should keep the project for sure.
