One muntjac and pigeon protected growing space made from reused wood, wire mesh and netting.
This will probably be for growing broad beans and then brassicas.

@Broadfork My first thought reading that fast was a place for those birds to be protected from harm but I see it's the other way around. :)
@firephoto If pigeons want to perch on it they might be in for a shock.
@Broadfork I wish I could do the same for the entire garden. Muntjac is at my tulips again.
@artistsgarden I will have to fortify parts of this plot as best I can as it has lots of wildlife visitors.
I’m making good use of all the “that’ll come in handy one day” materials I’ve squirrelled away for now.
I hear you. The muntjac are the biggest pain as they eat every bit of young growth they can find.
@Broadfork No, not every bit. Mine is discriminating. He (she) does not touch the daffodils but loves tulips and the flowers of lungwort.
@artistsgarden That’s true, the muntjac leave the daffodils alone on my plot too.
@Broadfork Your construction seems ruthlessly efficient.
@rooftopjaxx Simple and hopeful. It won’t be enough to keep out the mice, voles and rabbits but the muntjac and pigeons should be thwarted for a bit.
