The photo is a close-up of a white Amaryllis flower. At the top left is the large, open calyx of the flower with the stamens and yellow anthers. The inside of the calyx is green. The flower takes up most of the photo and is facing top left. You are looking into it. At the bottom right is a piece of the thick green stem.

Another close up of the Amaryllis but now from the side. Although you can still look a little inside the flower. On the right the stem with two large buds on it. The flower itself is directed to the top left. You can now see the side of the white flower with green at the bottom near the calyx.

@Kuscha welch Foto, ich liebe Nahaufnahmen. Hier ein #gemaltes Beispiel. Da bin ich einer #Amaryllis mehrfach sehr nah gekommen (großformatige #Ölgemälde auf Leinwand)

Drei Versionen des innersten Teils einer Amaryllisblüte von intensiv frisch Rot (oben) über verblassende Blütenblätter (mitte ) bis zur verblühten und fast ganz ausgebluteten Amaryllis (unten).

#BloomScrolling My winteredover amaryllis bloom much later than the florist forced bloomers. But, of the 8 that I have, only two produced blossoms this year. Methinks more sun is called for this summer. #amaryllis
