I watched ‘GHOULIES’ for the #MBMC and I’m almost 100% sure I saw this one as a kid. There were some moments that were immediately familiar, but I forgot most of it. Overall, I think it was a good monster movie. I still prefer ‘Critters’ but this one has its place in my heart just the same. Yeah, some of the practical effects are a little wonky, but then some are pretty good. It’s technically a horror movie, but who could be scared of them?

FULL MOON FEATURE 
'TALES FROM THE GRAVE' (2002) "From forbidden worlds come deadly and chilling tales: 'Beyond Death,' 'Brides of the Dead,' 'Chill Challenge,' 'The Rotten Dead." This is one of those cool anthology films like 'Cat's Eye' or 'Tales from the Darkside.' I'm guessing it was inspired by the latter more than the former.

I watched ‘CREEPOZOIDS’ for the #MBMC and was NOT disappointed. The synth soundtrack permeates this 80s flick like all the other low-budget sci fi films of this era and Linnea Quigley is a doll (as usual). The story is nothing that deep. Standard post-apocalyptic robots and aliens. This scratched a nostalgia itch for me. Staying up late to watch movies like this on USA Up All Night, hosted by the gorgeous Rhonda Shear.

'MURDERBOT' (2023) "When a sentient female robot goes on a berserk killing spree, a group of young people fight for their lives while the mad scientists who created her try to stop the slaughter."

I watched ‘CASTLE FREAK’ for the #MBMC and I can't say I recommend it. I always say the only bad movie is a boring movie and I just couldn’t get into this one. It’s a shame too, because usually Jeffrey Combs makes any movie better. The pacing for this film was just too slow and I found myself fast forwarding through a lot of it. Maybe I just wasn’t in the mood for it. Either way, it was disappointing.

I watched ‘BAD CHANNELS’ for the #MBMC and the first thing I’ll say is WOW, Martha Quinn was such a BAD actor. Like, I expect to see bad acting in these films, but she was clearly only in this due to her popularity as a ‘VJ’ on MTV (look it up, kids). Overall, this was pretty cool. Lots of gross practical effects and some fun creature design for the aliens. I'm sure it was a lot of fun to make.

'KILLJOY' (2002) "Move over Pennywise! A clown doll brought to life by magic tries to kill those responsible for murdering its owner. Deep in an inner-city hell, a ghastly figure is killing off the bad guys. A vigilante, or a demon? For the beautiful high school student, JADA, that's the question that will bring her face to face with the killer clown."

I watched ‘DOCTOR MORDRID’ for the #MBMC and right out of the gate it feels like it was supposed to be a MARVEL movie. The score is racing like a comic book movie from the 90s and the opening credits play over a panning shot of the main character’s base of operations (his Sanctum Sanctorum, if you will). Jeffrey Combs is just fine, but he feels like what you’d get if you ordered Dr. Strange on WISH.

Alright, now that I've seen 'DEMONIC TOYS' and 'DOLLMAN' it's time to watch the 1993 crossover event 'DOLLMAN VS DEMONIC TOYS'
MCU-who? The FMCU (Full Moon Cinematic Universe) was in effect long before Kevin Feige built the most successful franchise in history.
I watched ‘DOLLMAN’ for the #MBMC and I can’t help but wonder how it would have felt to go into the film not knowing the ‘surprise’ that he’s so little. The title and all the promotional material ruins that, but the first part of this movie plays out like a straight sci-fi crime story with Thomerson playing his usual badass cop persona (like in Trancers). The moment he gets to Earth, it becomes more of a comedy. Overall, it was a good time.
