Logic analyzers. Just applied for a Saleae hobbyist discount code. Never owned a logic analyzer and was looking at DSLogic and Saleae. The DSLogic plus seems to be more capable on paper, but Saleae seems to have the much nicer & better supported product?

Right now I'm using my Siglent scope's decode function to occasionally look at (usually serial) communication pins when tinkering with stuff i try to hack.

Any other recommendations to look into?

Last night I helped my friend John get his Agilent 16902B logic analyzer working. As he received it, the hard drive was missing, and he'd replaced that with an SSD, but we had to install the OS and logic analyzer software. I'd been through that before with my.16901A, a similar model.

Yesterday I finally got the OS installed on the new SSD in my Agilent 16901A logic analyzer. It is no longer supported, and the only recovery disc ISO on the internet for the variant using the Adlink M-880 motherboard is truncated, rendering it unusable. I was able to take the 16902B recovery disk and insert some of the key 16901A files.

In other news, logic analyzer probes finally arrived for this thing: amazon.com/dp/B077LSG5P2.
