Irgendwie war es entweder die zweite Hälfte der Bundeswehrzeit oder schon nach dem Bund. Und man war irgendwie nur dabei, die Sau rauszulassen. Ich rede von Nummern wie „9 PM (Till I Come)“ von ATB, „Meet Her At The Love Parade“ von Da Hool, „Flaming June“ von BT oder „Hold That Sucker Down“ vom O.T. Quartet. Das war eine Zeit, die niemals zurückkommen wird. Außer man macht als Musiker so etwas.

Started a little #BandLab experiment with @bastianallgeier and #DennisPixelbandeWithoutMastodonAccount and it’s such a joy to work together on a song.

But it’s also strange when you are not in the same room jamming but putting pieces together asynchronously. It’s always a surprise what happened since the last time you opened the project.

Capable of #recording and #mixing #audio with full effects loops, VST plugins, and more...

The only caveat is that the free version is for #WindowsOnly. The #MAC version has been discontinued and retired and is no longer supported.

@thor They got bought by #Bandlab. Apparently they’re supposed to make #Cakewalk paid instead of free in the future, but the old installer will always work so IDRC

I used to think that #Bandlab was better than SoundCloud, but now it feels like SoundCloud with Twitter in it.
Part of it comes from SoundCloud rappers coming over to it cause no upload limit, and way less spam bots, more just people self promoting in every comment section.

The first song is from 2022 Dec, and the second song is from 2022 Aug. It's fun to go back to listen to the old music I made. I totally forgot about them.

Kiddo is coming up to 12th birthday, has a pretty good ear for a beat, and loves making stuff in #BandLab.

What's a good progression from this, a small #sequencer that will work with laptop and DAW? Any additional kit needed? (we have mics, leads, mixers, amps and speakers already)
