Pour celles et ceux qui pourraient en avoir besoin, voici quelle a été ma solution, trouvée grâce aux généreux contributeurs du forum #ubuntu.fr : une fois le #grub lancé, appuyer sur "e" pour changer les paramètres et remplacer "quiet splash" par "nomodeset debug ignore_loglevel nolapic pci=noaer"
J'ai pu faire mon #install (par contre, ça m'a causé un souci de pad encore non résolu, mais au moins l'ordi est fonctionnel!)

#Mastodon, j'ai un souci, et j'aurais bien besoin d'aide.
Je veux installer une #Kubuntu fraîche sur un ordi qui n'a pas été mis à jour depuis la version 18.04 (oui, ça fait longtemps).
Cet ordi, un #Asus N752vx-gc195T, tourne actuellement avec un dual-boot Kubuntu-Windows.
J'ai fait un #liveCD et une #liveUSB pour mon #install mais les deux, après un passage par l'écran #Grub, ne me proposent qu'un écran noir.
J'ai modifié tous les paramètres de la clé et du bios (MBR, EFI etc.). Désactivé le secure boot. Ajouté les paramètres nomodeset, acpi=off lors du lancement de Grub. Essayé la version 22.04
Rien.
La seule chose que j'aie, c'est un écran un peu plus verbeux lorsque je remplace "quiet" par "verbose", mais qui plante en quelques poignées de secondes et me laisse comme sur la photo ci-dessous.

Day one of the Urbanglass, MAGIC install. It was quite fun driving a box truck from NJ to downtown Brooklyn yesterday. I forgot how much I missed Art handling. Some fun students from Texas drove the box truck up for a weekend NYC adventure.
We got a bunch done today mounting a bunch of the burst backer. There are about 40 animating transformers back there so we can blink the 80 or so tubes. Really excited it's actually able to make it to Brooklyn!
Headed to a show an tell party tonight at a friend's house tonight. I was gonna bring a Rainbow Sunrise Doodle that I pumped in the kiln, but it fell off the table and broke right before I went out the door so I grabbed this helium double rainbow instead. Now I get to make the rainbow sunrise again :) I could have baked it out longer anyways.

Neuinstallation Kubuntu 24.04, 20.04 wird ja bald nicht mehr supported.
Hat gerade so gereicht, die Jeans gegen die Jogginghose auszutauschen... Also schneller als erwartet.
Jetzt halt noch ein bisschen einrichten, das macht aber schon auch Spaß

Hier à l'#install party: on a eu un cas sur un pc qui illustre parfaitement l'entente mafieuse entre constructeurs de matériels et #microsoft . Impossible d'installer #Linux à cause de RST, rapid storage technology d'intel. Impossible de trouver l'option dans le bios Acer. Par défaut, RST empêche Linux de voir le disque dur, car il s'attend à une gestion propriétaire sous #windows
