I have to chose between learning how to move my posts on #pixelfeed into a new server since the admin doesn't like anything other than english, norwegian or english posted there.

And here I am thinking the IG and Meta apps sucked!

I really have to find a way to set up my own #server, both for #friendlica and pixelfeed, I just wait until I have my final home and then set up a small server with raid disk to have my email, social media and personal data mirrored into my #pcloud server as backup.

So no more #google, #meta, or mini dictators on local servers controlling my data.

I have to find a new #pixelfeed home, my current pod doesn't allow posting in anything other than #English.

Funny the admin didn't complain when I posted in #French or #Swedish, but it seems like #Farsi is not okay with them...

I see "no preview available" a lot right now in the #pixelfeed feed. Anyone else has that issue or knows about it?

Not sure about what causes it, I saw some from pixelfed.social, and I am on pixelfed.de but both run on v0.12.4.

First time I saw it was when I uploaded a video (which has a preview meanwhile, not sure how long it took).

But now it's also images. Saw it on a post that is 21h old, would be odd that preview generating takes that long?

#Censorship on #Pixelfeed is far worse than #Instagram and #Facebook and they do not even hiding it.

This is the 3rd post in a week that became "unlisted" because their viewers or algorithm doesn't like what I write (calling Apartheid child for Nazi for example).

People have the delusion that #Pixelfeed is a better alternative than
#Meta products #Facebook and #Instagram

Their algorithm is as bad or even worse than Meta and kind of similar to how f-ed up

Ja, oft hakelt es. Bin bei der gleichen Instanz.
Ich habe aber irgendwo gelesen, dass nach dem Einschlag von #Zuckerberg in den Enddarm von #trump sehr viele Leute von #Instagram zu #Pixelfeed wechseln und dadurch schlicht die Server überlasten.
Einfach mal abwarten, wird schon werden.

I had an #Instagram account just to stay in touch with my family, but I can no longer stay in that fascist supporting shit hole.

Told my kids to move out as well, it is going to be hard, but it is a sad sacrifice I have to do. I simply can't justify staying on openly Trump supporting shit hole.

Once more we see a #socialmedia exodus and not a single one of the fun content creators I love from say #Instagram make their way over to #Mastodon, #Pixelfeed or #Loops. Why?

Do you understand what weeks or months of labor looks like? If no #ad revenue, if no #superchat, if no #donate button, then why even make the effort?!

The #fediverse needs to grow up and carve out direct paths to monetization.
